Me: Oh, you're my little baby. You're always going to be my baby!
Z: I'm not a baby! I'm a boy.
Me: Ok, you're my little boy. You'll always be my little boy. But, you're growing up too fast! Pretty soon, you'll be going to kindergarten.
Z: And I'll read Harry Potter!

Oh, I love this boy. He has honed in on one of life's greatest joys. Out of the mouths of babes.
Today, all was silent, and I called out, Z, where are you? He was sitting on the recliner, looking at one of T's books. It so warms my heart to see my kids in love with books.
I also have to admit that I love the fact that he's already clued in that Harry Potter is awesome. I just finished listening to book 7 and Jim Dale is a master and JK Rowling is a master. That book is beyond good.
I love it! And it warms my heart to see my kids loving books too. I tell my 2 and ahalf year old that he's my baby and he says yes. He really plays into being a baby-- I wonder if he'll outgrow that? I've got mixed feelings about it.
Sorry to see you got so much snow already-- we haven't down here, but I guess we're about 4 hours south of you. I tend to think of the midwest as one big entity-- I'll blame that on my NYC-centric upbringing. :)
Maryanne, Wasn't he the one that you had a really hard time weaning?
I'm the same way with my kids--I can't wait until they're bigger (no more diapers! yeah!) but at the same time, it's sad when they can't sit on your lap anymore.
Nice that you missed the snow. Any idea where your next location is going to be? This one will be more permanent, right?
Adorable Z, as always. Jeffrey keeps asking for Harry Potter toys, even though he has no idea what the books are about. Whenever I ask him what he knows, he says, "Harry Potter is . . . about these kids." And that's it.
